Claiborne Hughes People

Our Nursing Department is one of our best assets!  LPN Joanne Goldman, our Resident Care Coordinator, is pictured here. She has been with Claiborne-Hughes for many years. Her clinical experience in long term care means that our Residents get quick and thorough attention to any medical problems they may encounter. Joanne will help you with any problems  regarding care. She is also our Staffing Coordinator and helps with the development of our nursing team.

Our Director of Nursing, RN Pearl Bransford, provides leadership and direction to the entire nursing team. Shewill be happy to help you if any issues arise. Please stop by to visit Paz to learn more about our nursing program.

Our Nursing Staff encourages Residents to be up and active every day. It is important to maintain a normal routine and to be as active as possible when recovering from illness.  Our Nursing and Rehab department work together to provide varied activities to meet the needs of all of our Residents, both short term and long term.

Our Charge Nurses and Supervisors are very involved with Resident care. They know their Residents and attend carefully to their needs. One of the many reasons for their commitment to the Residents is because of their length of service with the facility. We have lower average turnover than is typically seen in long term care. Claiborne-Hughes has many CNAs with long service records. We regularly recognize employees for their service and good care. Many of our employees have family members who are Residents in the facility.

Our families are very special to us! We plan lots of activities that allow Residents and their families to participate together. We know that  a move away from home can be very challenging for everyone involved. We encourage family input in the care decisions of  their loved ones and include them through regularly scheduled care conferences.
